Digital Subscription Terms
Last Updated: 28 July 2026
1. About These Terms
These Digital Subscription Terms apply to any Asterclass Academy digital subscription that refers to them on its product page, at checkout or in the relevant order information.
Each digital subscription may have a Product Schedule setting out its specific content, price, billing arrangements, delivery schedule and access provisions. The applicable Product Schedule forms part of these Digital Subscription Terms.
If there is any inconsistency between the general provisions of these Digital Subscription Terms and a Product Schedule, the Product Schedule will take priority for that subscription.
These Digital Subscription Terms should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
2. About Asterclass Academy
Digital subscriptions are supplied by:
Asterclass Academy Ltd
2nd Floor, 82 Clerkenwell Road
London EC1M 5RF
Email: academy@asterclass.co.uk
In these Terms, “Asterclass Academy”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Asterclass Academy Ltd.
3. Who May Purchase a Subscription
The person purchasing a subscription must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract.
Where a subscription is purchased for a child or another learner, the purchaser confirms that they are the learner’s parent, carer or otherwise authorised to:
purchase the subscription;
provide the information reasonably required to deliver it;
arrange access to relevant learning platforms; and
accept these Terms on the learner’s behalf where appropriate.
Unless the applicable Product Schedule states otherwise, each subscription is for one named learner.
4. Product Information
The relevant product page, checkout information and Product Schedule will explain:
the principal content and resources included;
the initial price and recurring price;
the billing frequency;
whether an introductory offer applies;
when the subscription and learning programme begin;
how resources and access details are supplied;
how the subscription renews;
how to cancel; and
when access ends.
Customers should review this information before completing their purchase.
5. Orders and Contract Formation
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected subscription.
A contract is formed when Asterclass Academy:
confirms the order by email;
accepts the first payment;
provides access to the subscription; or
otherwise confirms that the order has been accepted.
We may decline or cancel an order before access begins where:
payment has not been authorised;
the product is unavailable;
incorrect pricing or product information has been displayed;
the customer does not meet an eligibility requirement; or
we cannot reasonably deliver the subscription using the information supplied.
If we cancel an order before supply begins, any payment already received for that order will be refunded.
6. Prices and Payment
Subscription prices are shown in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise.
The applicable Product Schedule and checkout will identify:
the amount payable for the first billing period;
the amount payable for subsequent renewals;
the billing frequency; and
any introductory discount or offer.
Payments are processed through the payment provider available at checkout. Asterclass Academy does not normally receive or store complete payment-card details.
Customers must provide accurate billing information and maintain a valid payment method for recurring payments.
7. Introductory Offers and Discounts
A Product Schedule may include an introductory price or discount applying to the first payment.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
an introductory offer applies only to the first payment;
subsequent payments are charged at the standard recurring price;
the offer cannot be combined with another discount;
the offer has no cash value; and
the offer cannot be applied retrospectively to a completed purchase.
Customers should check that any advertised automatic discount appears correctly in their cart before completing payment. If it does not appear, they should contact Asterclass Academy before completing the order.
8. Automatic Renewal
Digital subscriptions renew automatically at the price and frequency shown before purchase unless cancelled.
By purchasing a recurring subscription, the customer authorises the relevant payment provider to charge the selected payment method on each applicable billing date.
The subscription continues until:
the customer cancels it;
Asterclass Academy ends it in accordance with these Terms;
payment cannot be collected; or
the subscription reaches any stated end date or maximum number of billing periods.
Billing periods and educational learning cycles may operate independently of one another.
9. Failed or Late Payments
If a payment fails, Asterclass Academy or its payment provider may:
attempt to collect the payment again;
contact the customer;
request an updated payment method; or
temporarily suspend subscription access.
If payment remains outstanding, we may end the subscription and withdraw access to gated resources or third-party platforms.
Ending access because of non-payment does not remove the customer’s responsibility for any amount properly due before the subscription ended.
10. Digital Delivery
Digital subscription content may be supplied through one or more of the following methods:
email;
downloadable files;
a gated learner portal;
an online video area;
a customer account;
a third-party learning platform; or
another access method described in the Product Schedule.
The applicable Product Schedule will explain the principal delivery arrangements for that subscription.
Delivery times may occasionally be affected by maintenance, technical problems, public holidays or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will take reasonable steps to minimise material disruption.
11. Customer Information and Setup
Customers must provide accurate and current information reasonably required to deliver the subscription.
Depending on the product, this may include:
the purchaser’s name and email address;
the learner’s name;
the learner’s year group or approximate level;
relevant programme information; and
information required to arrange portal or third-party platform access.
Where required information is incomplete or inaccurate, the subscription start date or access arrangements may be delayed until the issue is resolved.
12. Accounts and Access Details
Where a subscription includes a customer account, learner portal or third-party platform, the customer may be required to activate an account or follow separate setup instructions.
Customers are responsible for:
using an accessible and accurate email address;
checking spam and junk folders;
keeping passwords and login details secure;
using access only for the registered learner;
notifying us promptly about suspected unauthorised access; and
informing us if expected access details have not arrived.
Unless agreed otherwise, accounts and access rights are personal, non-transferable and limited to the registered customer and learner.
13. Third-Party Platforms
A digital subscription may include access to a platform operated by a third-party provider.
Third-party access may involve:
separate account activation;
the provider’s own terms and privacy information;
limited sharing of information required to create or administer access;
technical or compatibility requirements; and
maintenance or changes made by the provider.
Asterclass Academy will remain responsible for delivering the subscription service we have agreed to provide. However, third-party platforms may occasionally experience maintenance, changes or interruptions outside our direct control.
Where a third-party interruption materially affects the purchased subscription, we will take reasonable steps to restore access, provide an appropriate alternative or otherwise resolve the issue.
14. Personal Use and Intellectual Property
Subscription materials, including practice papers, answer resources, videos, designs, teaching content and other learning materials, belong to Asterclass Academy or its licensors unless stated otherwise.
The customer and registered learner receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the supplied materials for their own educational purposes.
Customers and learners must not:
share account or platform access with another household or learner;
distribute subscription materials to another person;
upload resources to another website, platform, group or shared drive;
reproduce materials beyond reasonable personal educational use;
sell, license or commercially exploit the materials;
record or redistribute protected video content; or
remove copyright, branding or ownership notices.
Ownership of the materials does not transfer to the customer when access or a copy is supplied.
15. Previous Materials and Archives
Purchasing a digital subscription does not automatically provide access to resources released before the customer’s confirmed subscription or programme start date.
A Product Schedule may specify:
whether earlier resources are included;
whether content is released progressively;
whether an archive is available; and
how long particular content remains accessible.
Unless expressly included, customers should not assume that a subscription provides permanent access to a complete archive of previous materials.
16. Changes to Subscription Content
We may make reasonable changes to subscription content, topics, resources, platforms, delivery methods or learning schedules where necessary to:
update or improve the programme;
maintain academic relevance;
correct errors;
respond to technical or provider changes;
protect service security; or
address circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will provide reasonable notice where a material change significantly affects an existing subscriber.
If a material change substantially reduces the subscription purchased, we will explain any appropriate alternative, cancellation or remedy available.
17. Price Changes
Changes to the standard price will normally apply to new purchases from the date stated.
If we propose to change the recurring price for an existing subscriber, we will provide reasonable advance notice. The customer may cancel before the new price takes effect.
A price change will not alter a payment already completed for the current billing period.
18. Cancellation by the Customer
Customers may cancel a subscription using the cancellation method identified in the relevant Product Schedule.
Unless otherwise stated, customers may request cancellation by contacting:
Cancellation prevents future renewals after it has been processed.
Unless required by law or stated otherwise in the Product Schedule:
cancellation does not automatically refund a payment already processed;
no partial refund is normally provided for an unused portion of a paid billing period; and
access may continue until the end of the paid billing period.
Customers should cancel before the next renewal payment is processed. Anyone experiencing difficulty cancelling should contact us promptly.
19. Statutory Cancellation Rights and Early Digital Supply
Depending on the circumstances, consumers purchasing online may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract.
Where a customer asks Asterclass Academy to begin supplying digital content, portal access or other subscription services during that period, we may request the customer’s express consent to begin supply.
Where required by law, we will also ask the customer to acknowledge that their statutory cancellation right may be affected or lost once the relevant digital content has been supplied.
Where the subscription includes continuing service elements, different cancellation provisions may apply to those elements. Any amount charged or refunded will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law and will take account of the content or services already supplied.
Nothing in these Terms limits the customer’s rights where digital content or services are faulty, materially misdescribed or not supplied with reasonable care and skill.
20. Refunds and Service Problems
Except where required by law or expressly agreed by Asterclass Academy, payments are not automatically refundable because:
the customer has changed their mind after digital supply has begun;
the learner has not used the supplied resources;
the customer has not activated available access; or
the customer cancels partway through a paid billing period.
If a material technical problem prevents access to a substantial part of the purchased service, the customer should contact us.
We will investigate and, where appropriate, take reasonable steps to:
restore access;
resend resources;
provide an alternative;
extend access; or
offer another remedy available under applicable law.
21. Suspension or Termination by Asterclass Academy
We may suspend or end a subscription where there is:
serious or repeated non-payment;
unauthorised sharing or distribution of resources;
misuse of an account, platform or access details;
conduct that threatens the security or operation of the service;
unlawful or inappropriate use; or
another material breach of these Terms.
Where reasonably practicable, we will explain the issue and provide an opportunity to resolve it before ending access.
Immediate action may be taken where necessary to protect learners, customers, staff, systems, intellectual property or third parties.
22. Educational Outcomes
Asterclass Academy provides structured educational resources, preparation support and learning guidance.
We do not guarantee:
examination results;
admission to a particular school;
a specific score or academic outcome; or
a particular rate of learner progress.
Progress depends on factors including the learner’s starting point, consistency, engagement, wider preparation and use of the supplied resources.
23. Service Availability
We aim to keep digital resources, portals and platform access reasonably available.
Access may occasionally be affected by:
planned maintenance;
urgent security work;
internet or hosting failures;
third-party platform interruptions;
technical updates; or
circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where prolonged disruption materially affects a paid subscription, we will consider an appropriate extension, alternative or remedy in accordance with these Terms and applicable consumer law.
24. Our Responsibility to Customers
We will provide our digital subscription services with reasonable care and skill.
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for:
losses that were not reasonably foreseeable;
problems caused by inaccurate information supplied by the customer;
problems caused by a customer’s failure to follow reasonable account or technical instructions;
incompatibility that was clearly explained before purchase; or
business or commercial losses where the subscription was purchased for personal educational use.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
death or personal injury caused by negligence;
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
breach of statutory consumer rights; or
any matter for which liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
25. Privacy and Communications
We process personal information to manage purchases, deliver resources, arrange access, administer subscriptions and provide customer support.
Further information is available in our Privacy Notice:
https://www.asterclass.co.uk/privacy-policy
Operational communications relating to a purchased subscription—including access instructions, weekly learning materials, payment information, service updates and cancellation information—are service communications rather than marketing.
26. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Digital Subscription Terms to reflect changes in our products, technology, providers, business operations or legal obligations.
Updated Terms will apply to new purchases from the date they are published.
Where a material update affects an existing subscription, we will provide reasonable notice and explain any relevant options.
27. Complaints and Contact
Questions or complaints about a digital subscription should be sent to:
Asterclass Academy Ltd
2nd Floor, 82 Clerkenwell Road
London EC1M 5RF
Email: academy@asterclass.co.uk
We will aim to investigate and respond within a reasonable period.
28. Governing Law
These Digital Subscription Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Customers living elsewhere in the United Kingdom retain any mandatory consumer protections available under the law applying where they live.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, without preventing a consumer from relying on any mandatory right to bring proceedings in another applicable UK jurisdiction.
SCHEDULE 1 – Specific Terms:
11+ Online Foundations Subscription
1. Application
These specific terms apply to the 11+ Online Foundations Subscription. They supplement the general Digital Subscription Terms and take priority if there is any inconsistency concerning this subscription.
2. Programme Description
The 11+ Online Foundations Subscription is a Maths-led online preparation programme for learners in Years 3–5 who are building core skills for 11+ and other selective-school entrance assessments.
Weekly 11+ English practice is included as an exclusive bonus at no additional cost.
3. What the Subscription Includes
Each four-week learning cycle normally includes:
four 11+ Maths practice papers;
four 11+ English bonus practice papers;
three Maths topic videos led by Blueberry the Cat, our senior tutor;
access to the gated Asterclass learner area;
access to the 11+ Heroes platform; and
relevant answer keys and review resources.
Live teaching, Online Small-Group Tutorials and Tailored 1-to-1 Preparation are not included unless purchased or arranged separately.
4. Weekly Delivery and Access
One 11+ Maths practice paper and one 11+ English bonus practice paper will normally be delivered by email each week.
All three Maths topic videos for each four-week learning cycle will be available through the gated learner area from Week 1 of that cycle.
Access details for the Asterclass learner area and 11+ Heroes platform will be provided separately as part of the onboarding process.
New subscribers begin with Week 1 on the next scheduled Monday after purchase. Welcome and access information will normally be provided before the first scheduled release.
New subscribers do not automatically receive practice papers released before their confirmed start date.
5. Learning Cycle
The Maths programme follows a repeating four-week learning cycle.
The first three weekly papers develop three connected Maths focus areas. The fourth paper provides mixed practice across all three areas.
The subscription is billed monthly, while learning cycles may continue across calendar-month and billing-date boundaries.
6. Price and Recurring Billing
The standard subscription price is £49 per month.
Where the welcome offer is available, the first payment is £28 and the subscription renews automatically at £49 per month thereafter. The introductory £21 discount is applied automatically at checkout.
The applicable price, billing frequency and any promotional discount will be displayed before purchase.
7. Cancellation and End of Access
Customers may cancel through the available Squarespace customer-account facility or by contacting:
Cancellation prevents future subscription renewals. It does not automatically refund a payment that has already been processed.
Unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise, access will continue until the end of the paid billing period and no partial refund will normally be provided for an unused portion of that period.
8. Educational Outcomes
The subscription provides structured preparation resources and learning support. It does not guarantee examination results, admission to any grammar or independent school or any particular academic outcome.
Learner progress depends on factors including ability, consistency, engagement, wider preparation and use of the resources provided.
9. 11+ Heroes Platform Access
Access to the 11+ Heroes platform is included while the learner has an active 11+ Online Foundations Subscription and subscription payments remain up to date.
Access is arranged separately after enrolment. The customer will receive the relevant account or access instructions by email.
To create and administer access, Asterclass Academy may provide 11+ Heroes with limited information reasonably required to operate the learner’s account. This may include:
the parent or customer email address;
the learner’s name, display name or username;
the learner’s year group; and
relevant subscription or programme information.
11+ Heroes is operated by a third-party provider and may have its own terms of use and privacy information. Customers and learners must keep their login details secure and must not share access outside their household.
Access will normally continue until the end of the paid billing period following cancellation. Platform access may be withdrawn after that period ends.
Although the platform is operated by a third party, this does not affect Asterclass Academy’s responsibilities for providing the subscription as described or the customer’s statutory consumer rights.
